About Flagdex

Flagdex is a free reference for every country on Earth. It exists for one reason: the existing options are cluttered. Look up a capital or a calling code and you land on a page heavy with ads, pop-ups and auto-playing video, where the single fact you wanted is buried three scrolls down. Flagdex strips all of that away.

Our principles

• Fast. Every page is static and lightweight, so it loads instantly on any connection.
• Honest. All data is from open sources and fully cited, with the vintage shown on data pages. Where a region is contested, we say so.
• Private. No accounts, no tracking, no advertising. Nothing about your visit is sold.

Accuracy

Country data changes: populations are re-estimated, capitals occasionally move, currencies are replaced. We rebuild the dataset from its sources periodically and note the vintage on the data page. If you spot something out of date, please tell us on the contact page. Corrections are welcome and taken seriously.
